# Pause Subscription

/subscriptions/:id/pause
```

Pauses an active subscription, temporarily halting the billing cycle.

**Pause Effects**:

* Billing is immediately suspended
* The subscription status changes to `PAUSED`
* No charges will be processed while the subscription remains paused
* The current billing period end date remains unchanged

**Use Cases**:

* Temporary service interruptions
* Customer vacation or absence periods
* Account maintenance or dispute resolution
