# List Payment Methods

Lists the payment methods a customer has saved.

Card and account numbers are never returned. Each entry carries only the display details — brand, last four digits, expiry — along with an `id` you can pass as `paymentToken` on a payment.

Expired payment methods are left out.

**`sequence`**:

`sequence: true` marks a payment method saved for merchant-initiated charges, such as subscription renewals. These are the candidates a declined renewal fails over to. `sequence: false` marks one the buyer chose at checkout, which you can charge again with `paymentToken` or set as the customer's `defaultTokenId`.
