# Update Price

Updates a price. Only `active`, `nickname` and `metadata` can change. Any other field is rejected.

**Archiving**:

Set `active` to `false` to archive the price. Subscriptions that already use it keep their copy of its values. A subscription cannot start from an archived price or switch to it.
