# Products

A product is something you sell, for example a "Gold plan". Its [prices](https://docs.monei.com/apis/rest/prices-create/) say how much it costs and how often it bills.

## Subscriptions from a price[​](#subscriptions-from-a-price "Enlace directo al Subscriptions from a price")

Create the product and a recurring price once. Then create each subscription with only `priceId`, instead of sending `amount`, `currency`, `interval` and the trial on every request.

The subscription copies the price values when it is created or switched to the price, and it stores `priceId` and `productId`. A later change to the product or the price never changes a subscription that already exists.

## Archiving[​](#archiving "Enlace directo al Archiving")

Products and prices are never deleted. Set `active` to `false` to archive one. Archiving a product does not archive its prices.
