# Transaction history

Every payment your business takes appears in the **Payments** list in your dashboard. From there you can narrow the list down to the payments you are looking for, open any one of them to see what happened to it, and download the whole history as a CSV.

## The payments list[](#payments-list "Direct link to The payments list")

Log in to your [dashboard](https://dashboard.monei.com/) and click **Payments**. Each row is one payment, newest first, with its amount, its status, your order ID, the customer, the payment method used and the date.

The tabs above the table are shortcuts to the statuses you look at most: **Succeeded**, **Refunded**, **Uncaptured** (authorized but not yet captured), **Paid out**, **Failed** and **All**. The date range in the top-right corner starts at today, so widen it to see older payments. The total number of payments in the current view is shown under the table.

## Filter your payments[](#filters "Direct link to Filter your payments")

Use the search selector on the left to filter by one field at a time — order ID, customer email, amount, payment method, currency and more. Each filter you apply is added above the table as a chip you can remove, and **Clear all** removes them at once.

Filters combine with the status tab and the date range, so "successful card payments in euros last week" is three filters and one tab. The **Export** button exports exactly what the filters leave on screen, which is the quickest way to get a reconciliation file for one payment method or one store.

## Open a payment[](#payment-detail "Direct link to Open a payment")

Click any row to open that payment. The **Timeline** at the top shows every step it went through, newest first, with the time of each one — this is where you find out why a payment failed, or when it was captured or refunded.

Below the timeline, **Payment details** carries the status code and message returned by the card processor, your order ID and the MONEI payment ID — the three values our support team asks for. **Customer** and **Payment method** show who paid and with what, including the card brand, type and country.

## Payment events[](#events "Direct link to Payment events")

**Payment events** is the same history seen as a stream of individual events rather than one row per payment: every status change across all your payments, newest first, each with the time it happened. Open it from the **Events** link above the payments table.

![Payment events list in the MONEI Dashboard, with one row per event and the event type tabs above the table](/img/dashboard/en/payment-events.png)

Use it when you are debugging your integration rather than looking up one order: an event row is what MONEI sends to your [webhook](https://docs.monei.com/guides/webhooks/.md) endpoint, so the list tells you whether the event you expected was produced at all.

The two lists use different dates

The payments list goes by the date a payment was **created**, and its date range filters on that same date. Payment events go by the date each **event happened**.

So a payment created yesterday and refunded today keeps yesterday's date in the payments list, while its refund appears with today's date in Payment events — and a payments list narrowed to today does not show that payment at all. To see everything that changed on a given day, including refunds of older payments, filter **Payment events** by that day instead.

## Download transaction history[](#download "Direct link to Download transaction history")

If you would like to download your transaction history from today or a custom period, follow these steps:

1. [Log in](https://dashboard.monei.com/) to your dashboard
2. Click on the **Payments** tab
3. Click on the **Export** button (on the right side)
4. Set the date range and **timezone** for the export, then click **Export**. Dates are formatted in the timezone you pick, and each day runs from 00:00 to 23:59 in that zone.
5. A CSV file will be exported to your computer (check your desktop or downloads folder)

On **public-administration accounts**, the Export dialog also offers the **Cuaderno 60** format — the AEB reconciliation *fichero*. Choose **Cuaderno 60** instead of CSV, then pick the C60 Point of Sale and the quincena. See [Cuaderno 60](https://docs.monei.com/public-administration/cuaderno-60/.md) for the file layout and filing schedule.

tip

To reconcile against your payouts, export in the **UTC** timezone — MONEI groups [settlement periods](https://docs.monei.com/manage-account/payouts-and-settlements/.md#period) by the UTC day, so a UTC export lines up with them exactly.

## Quick view of transaction history[](#quick-view "Direct link to Quick view of transaction history")
