Manage your profile and security

Your profile holds your personal details and the security settings for your individual user — separate from your business account settings. Every user has a profile, regardless of their role. Open MONEI Dashboard → Settings → Profile to manage it.

Profile information

The Profile information section shows the email address and phone number associated with your user. This is the identity you use to sign in and the contact MONEI uses for account notifications.

Two-step authentication

Two-step authentication (also called two-factor authentication or 2FA) keeps your account secure by requiring a second step — a one-time code — in addition to your password when you sign in. Manage it from the Two-step authentication section of your profile.

Two-step authentication is required

Once your account is live, every user who can sign in to the dashboard must keep text-message (SMS) verification turned on, to meet regulatory security requirements. You set it up during account activation, and it can't be turned off afterward — but you can change the phone number it uses at any time.

Text message (SMS)

MONEI sends a one-time code by SMS to your verified phone number each time you sign in. To use a different number, select Change phone number and verify the new one. SMS verification stays active throughout, so your account is never left unprotected.

Authenticator app

You can also add an authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or 1Password) as an extra method. It generates codes on your device, so it's faster, works without a mobile signal, and doesn't depend on SMS delivery. Scan the setup QR code with your app to enable it.

An authenticator app is optional, and you can remove it whenever you like — your SMS verification stays in place.

Choosing a method when you sign in

If you've set up both methods, MONEI remembers the one you used last and selects it automatically for a quicker sign-in. If you can't use it — no signal for the SMS, or your authenticator app isn't available — select Use another method to switch to your other method.

Sign out of all devices

If you've signed in on a shared or lost device, use Forget all devices to end every active session for your user. You'll need to sign in again on each device afterward. This is a quick way to revoke access if you suspect your account has been compromised.

Activity history

Your profile includes a history of your recent account activity, so you can review the actions taken under your user. Use it to confirm recent changes or spot anything unexpected.
