# Connect your acquirer

By default, **MONEI provides acquiring for you** — you don't need your own acquirer to start taking payments. But if you already process card payments with your own acquirer (or want to keep one you trust), you can **connect it to MONEI** and use MONEI as your orchestration layer.

This is a powerful, incremental path: keep processing exactly as you do today, then grow into MONEI's acquiring, payment methods, and fraud tools at your own pace — without re-integrating.

MONEI sits in front of your acquirers and payment methods and routes each payment based on rules you control.

## Start with your acquirer, then grow[​](#grow "Direct link to Start with your acquirer, then grow")

1. **Connect your acquirer.** Plug in your existing acquirer and keep processing as you do today — now through MONEI. See [Connect Redsys](https://docs.monei.com/onboarding/connect-redsys-tpv-virtual/.md) or [Connect Stripe](https://docs.monei.com/onboarding/connect-stripe/.md).
2. **Split your traffic.** Route a share of payments to MONEI's own acquiring (or another acquirer) to compare cost and acceptance, then shift more over time.
3. **Add payment methods.** Offer [Bizum](https://docs.monei.com/payment-methods/bizum/.md), [Apple Pay](https://docs.monei.com/payment-methods/apple-pay/.md), [Google Pay](https://docs.monei.com/payment-methods/google-pay/.md), [PayPal](https://docs.monei.com/payment-methods/paypal/.md), and local methods alongside cards.
4. **Turn on features.** Add [Fraud Detector](https://docs.monei.com/fraud-prevention/3d-secure/.md), [orchestration rules](https://docs.monei.com/payments/orchestration/.md), retries, and more.

Bringing your own acquirer is billed at **0.20% of GPV** for the payments you route through it — see [MONEI fees](https://docs.monei.com/manage-account/monei-fees/.md). MONEI's own acquiring and per–payment-method fees are billed separately; the acquiring cost of your own acquirer is charged by that processor, not MONEI.
