Payments overview

MONEI handles the full life of a payment — from accepting it, to settling the money into your bank, to refunding or paying out when you need to. This page is your map to everything in the Payments section.

The life of a payment​

Accept payments​

Take payments online, in person, or by sharing a link.

  • Payment methods — cards, Bizum, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, , and more.
  • Pay by Link — charge customers without a website by sending a link via WhatsApp, email, or SMS.
  • Subscriptions — charge customers automatically on a schedule.

Move the money​

  • Refunds — issue full or partial refunds, including refunding to a different card.
  • Payouts to customers — send money from your MONEI balance to customers with Bizum and card payouts.
  • Currencies — which currencies MONEI supports for charges and transfers, and how to enable them.

Optimize and route​

  • Payments orchestration — configure routing rules across acquirers and processors to improve acceptance and cost.

Common questions​

When is a payment settled to my bank?​

A successful payment is immediately, then settled to your bank according to your payout schedule. See payouts and settlements for the timeline that applies to your account.

Can I refund a payment to a different card?​

Yes. See Refunds for when this is possible and how it works.

How do I send money to a customer, not just refund them?​

Use payouts to customers — these draw from a prefunded balance and are separate from refunds.
